Alan Ganev Brings Warhol to Toronto – Sharp Magazine

TagTO x Andy Warhol: Factory Made

Alan Ganev in Sharp Magazine: Warhol, Vision & the Power of Pop.

We’re thrilled to share that our very own Alan Ganev — Managing Partner and visionary behind Taglialatella Galleries Toronto — was recently featured in Sharp Magazine in celebration of our current exhibition, Andy Warhol: Factory Made.

Running now through May 1st, the show brings 40 iconic Warhol works — from vibrant prints to textiles and even a shimmering silver wig — to the heart of Yorkville.

In the article, Ganev reflects on the weight and wonder of hosting such a landmark exhibition:

“It’s a special moment for us,” he says. “Certain artists have a particular kind of magnetism that’s hard to describe, and Andy Warhol is certainly one of those.”

Beyond the spectacle, Factory Made also marks a meaningful return to our roots. As Ganev explains, “The exhibition not only carries the legacy of what Dominic [Taglialatella] started back in the late ’70s but, at the same time, the community can come and celebrate and learn.”

Warhol’s embrace of business, branding, and bold artistic repetition — once controversial — feels more relevant than ever today. “Warhol was the pioneer of this concept; at the time, speaking about business, the way that he did in the context of art was taboo,” Ganev tells Sharp. And yet, his silkscreened Marilyns, now ranging from $150,000 to over $400,000, are proof of his enduring brilliance.

Andy Warhol: Factory Made is a dazzling, immersive experience — and a reflection of what Taglialatella stands for: artistic excellence, cultural conversation, and a strong connection to community.

📍Visit us in Yorkville before May 1st to catch the energy, colour, and cultural pulse of Warhol’s world.
