Punk Me Tender
b. 1982, French
Punkmetender is a French-born, Miami-based contemporary artist whose practice bridges street art and fine art through a highly process-driven approach. In the early 2000s, he became deeply involved in the Los Angeles urban art scene, collaborating closely with Mr.Brainwash and appearing in the documentary directed by Banksy, Exit Through the Gift Shop, a pivotal moment in the global recognition of contemporary street art.
Working across canvas and sculpture, Punkmetender integrates layered pigments, industrial materials, and custom-built mechanical devices that harness motion, gravity, and speed. His work is defined by the balance between precision and unpredictability, where process becomes central and movement itself acts as a creative force.
