After earning a Master’s degree in Fine Arts and working with major brands like Ubisoft and Cirque du Soleil, Mateo chose to focus on his artistic vision, experimenting with traditional motifs and materials. His innovative approach of painting on rugs transforms this revered textile art form into striking, vertical displays, prominently featuring feminine portraits that highlight the vital role of women in rug weaving.

Historically, women have been the heart of Persian rug-making, dedicating their skills to create intricate designs that tell stories of their cultures.
