April 25, 2019 (Toronto, ON) – INK Entertainment’s Taglialatella Galleries is proud to announce its latest solo exhibition with Montreal born artist, Erin Rothstein. Showcasing hyperrealist paintings of mainstream, urban fashion, Rothstein’s Un-Fancy works are a composition of whimsical and fresh-faced style, combining art with fashion.Items featured in the series include flip-flops, leather jackets, Nike sneakers, Ray-Ban shades and more.
“We strive to push boundaries and showcase today’s most creative artists,” says Alan Ganev, Director, Taglialatella Galleries Toronto. “Having successfully carved out a new space for hyperrealism within the context of today’s art market, Erin’s works are unlike anything we have had in the gallery before.” Currently residing in Toronto, Rothstein holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University where she specialized in painting and drawing, and a Master of Art from Western University. Prior to Un-Fancy, Rothstein released a highly successful series of paintings titled The Tasting Room that received a Scotiabank Viewer’s Choice Award and was supported by the Ontario Arts Council. Launched in July 2018, the Yorkville gallery is the first Canadian outpost for the international brand. The gallery regularly features exhibitions, and most recently launched prized photographer Caitlin Cronenberg’s HEAT collection.
