December 13, 2022 – Mr. Brainwash’s long-anticipated museum is finally opening in Los Angeles next week! Bold and immersive, this one-of-a-kind experience explores the artist’s output and evolution since first coming to prominence in the award-winning Banksy documentary, Exit Through the Giftshop, over ten years ago. Vibrant multi-medium works and installations draw viewer’s into the artist’s unique worldview, a fearless vision created via mash-ups of historical and pop iconography that reference artists from Van Gogh to Basquiat. Redefining “art as experience,” this newest show by one of the planet’s best known artists is a welcome and timely reminder of his personal mantra: Life Is Beautiful.

Mr. Brainwash chose a significant location for his latest project. At the bustling corner of Beverly and Santa Monica, in what was previously the Museum of Television and Radio, designed by renowned architect Richard Meier, now sits an interactive retrospective. The artist has been making his mark on this iconic neighbourhood for years. In 2019 he was commissioned by the City of Beverly Hills to create three large scale public installations, transforming his “Life is Beautiful” series into “Beverly Hills is Beautiful.”  This latest project solidifies Brainwash as an emblem of contemporary pop culture, synonymous with the creativity and entrepreneurial energy that emerges from Los Angeles, the city of dreams.
